Federation Journal - The Lancashire Local Historian

The Federation used to publish an annual journal The Lancashire Local Historian from 1977 until it ceased publication 2007. An index to these journals is available below. Copies of some issues are still available for purchase and it may also be possible to obtain e copies.

Back issues available are volumes 11, 12, 14, 16-19 at £2 + £1.50  post & packing; volume 20 at £5 + £1.50 post & packing.

INDEX TO ITEMS IN THE FEDERATION NEWSLETTER

There are over 50 editions of the newsletter, which began in 2012.  Below there are two indexes.  One contains reference to more than 120 articles.  They are a mixture of research articles, previews or reports of talks, and interesting information about local events, buildings and people.  If you would like to receive copies of any of these items, the newsletter editor will be able to email them to you.

The other is an index to over 120 books which have been mentioned in the newsletters.  In some cases the entries contain reviews.  Some books may no longer be published, but copies may be available in libraries or for sale second-hand.  The list does not contain any publication details, but the editor will be pleased to provide further information.

Both indexes are fully searchable.  Each entry gives the issue number, date of publication and page number.  

Newsletter

The Federation publishes a quarterly newsletter and the Editor is always pleased to hear from societies or individuals who have news, notes, reports, articles and photographs for submission. Go to the Contact Us page and send a message to the Newsletter Editor
